PROJECT 1

OBOE BRILLIANCE

Oboe brilliance is a comprehensive pedagogy for oboists whose talents range from beginner to professional. In oboe brilliance, I honor and continue the great teachings from my master oboist and teachers: Peter Hertling, Peter Hedrick, Lois Wann, Michael Winfield and Marc Liefschy, and I also add my own teachings influenced by my compositions and meditation studies.

In oboe brilliance, I do not copy existing music, but create a wealth of music nurturing and preparing oboists to play any artistic and technical demand which may come their way in an emotionally healthy and fulfilling way.

When I visited Lois Wann in 1996, she called me her "Little Lois" and asked me to give the world all I have to give. I promised her that I would. Lois taught me for free, volunteering many hours and years of her time. This is one of three projects that I can give the world.

Oboe brilliance is happening slowly and surely. It will happen better and faster with support from people who care to promote the great art of oboe playing for the oboists of today and tomorrow. If you choose to give specifically to oboe brilliance, please let me know, I will make sure your investment to oboists is put to work. I believe that many other instrumentalists will benefit from this work as well.

PROJECT 2

MUSIC IN THE UNIVERSAL HEART

Music as far as I can tell, comes out of silence, out of nothing, out of where light comes from - out of the deepest heart of the universe beckoning to come forth. This to me is the womb of all creation. It is the very pit, seed, nucleus, spark from which we all begin. Music in the heart of the universe is music created to help people swim and drink the water of this seed, to commune deeply in the purest water in the heart, as I can best commune with it myself.

One work of music from the universal heart that I've shared so far is "Celestial Light Ringing" which is an oboe and pipe organ piece which needs some slight revision at the very end. There is much more music to write though, in many voices, in many ways, for countless more people.

Now as we are in the 21st century, I believe that people would do well to have music respecting the myriad of traditions and beliefs without necessarily being tied down by one tradition, and instead being from the divine core, for all beings.

With this project, I do my best to act as a bridge creating the music that connects the shore of human consciousness to this womb. With some financial support, I can better share what I have to give and not just keep this music to myself.

PROJECT 3

IN ADORATION OF THE EARTH

The "In Adoration of the EARTH" project is a massive collection of music being and to be created ranging from solo to full orchestral with choir, musical manuscripts composed for the purpose of adoring the earth.

I have lists of what I wish to create for all the world of different musical skill levels and instruments to bring to life:- I hear the duet for oboe and trumpet sounding in adoration of the bald eagle at an intermediate level. I hear a full choir for children and string orchestra sounding in adoration of dolphins at an advanced beginner level, and so on.

A patron or matron can donate to this project to fund the composing of music in celebration and adoration of our earth and all the magnificent life. I also need to compose a requiem for the extinct life of our planet as well as joyous music in celebration of our earth.
